About this tool
A seamless (or panoramic) carousel spreads one wide image across several slides, so the scene carries on smoothly as people swipe. It works beautifully for landscapes, group shots, venue interiors, product line-ups and long illustrations, and it encourages viewers to go through the whole carousel. Doing it by hand means cutting perfectly matched pieces; this tool does that for you.
Drop or paste your panoramic image. Under “Tile shape” choose 4:5 portrait or 1:1 square; the preview marks each cut with lines and numbers. If the width doesn’t divide evenly, the ends are padded: choose “Blurred” or “Solid colour” for that edge fill. The bar underneath tells you how many slides you will get. Press “Generate slides”, then download them one by one or use “Download all”.
Slicing happens in your browser and the image is never uploaded. Every slide keeps the original image height and is saved as a numbered PNG in order. The number of slides depends on the photo’s proportions, so a very wide panorama may produce more slides than Instagram allows in a single carousel. The tool doesn’t post to Instagram or resize the slides to 1080 px.

How do you make a panoramic carousel on Instagram?
Split the image into equal-sized pieces side by side and upload them, in order, as a single multi-photo post. As you swipe, each piece picks up exactly where the previous one ended.
Should I use 4:5 or 1:1 slides?
4:5 fills more of the screen in the feed and usually looks better. 1:1 gives wider slides, so you need fewer of them for the same panorama. Every slide in a carousel is shown at the ratio of the first one.
Why can I see a jump between two slides?
It usually happens when Instagram crops a slide because the ratios don’t match, or when the slides are uploaded out of order. Upload them all together, in numbered order, and don’t adjust the crop in the app.
How many images can an Instagram carousel hold?
Instagram caps the number of photos per carousel, and the limit has changed over time (it went from 10 to 20 in 2024). If your panorama produces too many slides, switch to 1:1 or crop the image first.
