What is bespoke software development at BAI
A bespoke software development is a system built for a specific business, because no off-the-shelf product does exactly what that business needs. We are a small team in Bilbao, founded in 2026, and almost every project of this kind that comes to us from here and the rest of Euskadi starts the same way: someone describes a process that currently runs on spreadsheets, emails and memory.
The difference from the catalogue lies in how they are contracted. The products are twenty-nine systems contracted separately, with seven monthly prices that are the same for everyone. A bespoke development does not fit on that list: it is defined case by case and that is why it has no published price.
Bespoke does not mean starting from scratch every time. We build on systems that learn — agents that respect your tone, models that understand your data — and what is specific to your business sits on top. What we deliver are living products: dashboards and agents that keep working when we leave.
What has been built so far
Real cases, described by sector and by the problem they solved. Client names are not published.
- Property. A multi-role CRM for a services company with three offices in Bilbao: Super Admin, Office Admin and Agent, with data synchronised across roles and an executive view on top.
- Health. A patient portal for a physiotherapy clinic, with clinical history and AI agents for bookings.
- Sport. For a federation, an internal platform for sponsorships, grants and a calendar bringing together 73 Basque Olympic athletes. For a football club, video analysis for goalkeeper recruitment with AI scoring by the minute.
- Retail. For a start-up within an accelerator programme, a geolocated supermarket promotions aggregator.
- Workshops. The merger of two brands into a single system, with diagnostics, repair, maintenance and tuning under one roof.
- Commerce. For a restored furniture shop, a catalogue with a story sheet per piece of furniture.
By sector and by system
Some projects come up often enough to have their own page. These are the ones we get asked for most:
- Bespoke CRM for SMEs — when the sales process does not fit an off-the-shelf tool, and what gets built instead.
- ERP with Dolibarr — business management in an open system that you can also query in plain Spanish.
- Lead generation for dealerships — from the brand’s campaign kit to named contacts, each one tied to its advert.
- WhatsApp appointments for dental clinics — real slots in your own calendar, with no double bookings.
- WhatsApp appointments for veterinary practices — the same solution, with room for emergencies.
If your case isn’t on the list, keep reading: it probably resembles one of those below.
How we work
The same four phases we follow in every project.
- Diagnosis. We audit the business, the stack and the data before proposing anything.
- Design. Wireframes and architecture. Nothing is built without your sign-off.
- Build. AI-assisted construction, with weekly iterations and a real demo, not slides.
- Launch. Deployment, training for your team and ongoing support.
If what’s needed first is to find out what’s already in place, that’s an audit, not a development: first you measure what you already have, and what’s measured gets written down.
When commissioning something bespoke makes no sense
This part matters as much as the previous one.
- When a catalogue product already does it. If your case fits one of the existing systems, it’s faster. If nothing fits, we’ll tell you that too.
- When the process isn’t clear yet. Automating a procedure that nobody can describe just freezes it with its errors locked in. There are stages better left in human hands, and we say so.
- When there’s nobody to maintain it. A bespoke system needs someone to use and look after it after launch.
- When what’s being sought is a promise. You won’t read here how much you’ll sell or how quickly. We don’t promise results we can’t measure.
- When the problem doesn’t match what we know how to solve. We only build what we fully understand, and we say so before the first quote.
