About this tool
This editor lets you write with Markdown syntax and see the formatted result as you type, on the same surface: type “# ” and you get a heading, “- ” starts a list and **this** makes bold. It is a comfortable way to draft blog posts, documentation, meeting notes or copy for GitHub, Notion or any CMS that accepts Markdown, without juggling two panes.
Type or paste text (pasted Markdown is converted automatically). Select words to make them bold, italic, struck through, code or a link from the floating toolbar. The gutter shows each block’s type and word count; click it to turn a paragraph into a heading, list, quote or code block. “Source” reveals the raw Markdown, “Focus” hides everything else, and Settings lets you highlight the current sentence or switch on typewriter scrolling. “Export” downloads .md, HTML or PDF.
Everything happens in your browser and, for privacy, the document is never saved anywhere, not even in local storage: close the tab and it is gone, though your browser will warn you first. Export a copy when you finish. Tables, task lists and footnotes are supported; it can’t embed images from your computer or let several people edit the same document.

What is Markdown?

Is my document saved?
No. To protect your privacy nothing is stored; the text is lost when you leave the page. Use “Export” to download it as .md or HTML before closing.
How do I get my Markdown into Word or Google Docs?
Click “Export” and choose “Copy as rich text”; when you paste into Word or Docs, headings, lists, bold text and links are kept.
How do I add a table or a footnote?
Type ||| followed by a space at the start of a line to insert a 3×3 table, or [^] to add a footnote, which you edit in a small pop-up box.
