Show a text full screen in huge letters so it can be read from across the room.
About this tool
Sometimes you need to show text to someone across the room or who cannot see your screen well: the Wi-Fi password for guests, a booking code at a counter, a serial number someone else has to type, or a notice in a meeting room. This tool displays it in huge letters, each character in its own cell and numbered, so it can be read and copied without mistakes.
Type or paste your text into the bar at the top and it appears below in large type. Under “Size”, “Maximum” fits it to the window width, while the slider sets a fixed size. “Positions” numbers every character, handy for dictating (“the seventh one is a zero”), and “Colours” shows digits in blue and symbols in amber. “Fullscreen” fills the whole display.
Spaces are shown with the ␣ symbol so you can see them, and accented letters count as letters rather than symbols. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere: the text only exists in your browser while the page is open, so it is fine for passwords. It is designed for short strings; with long sentences the maximum size drops considerably.
Frequently asked questions
How do I display text in big letters on my screen?
Type it in the top bar, leave “Maximum” selected so it fills the width, then press “Fullscreen”. Press Esc or use the back gesture to exit.
How can I tell a capital O from a zero, or l from 1?
Turn on “Colours”: digits appear in blue, letters in the normal colour and symbols in amber, so 0 and O, or 1 and l, cannot be confused.
Is it safe to show a password here?
The text never leaves your browser and is not saved anywhere. Still, check who is around before putting it up full screen.
What are the numbers under each letter for?
They show each character’s position, which helps when reading out long codes or spotting exactly where someone mistyped.
